FAQ
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Exfoliate really, really well at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. This helps reduce the chance of "crocodile skin"
Shave, wax, and shower no sooner than 2 hours prior to your appointment
Do not apply deodorant, fragrances, lotions, or oils (these can act as barriers between your skin and the spray tan solution)
Wear or have loose dark clothing and sandals/flip-flops.
If we are meeting you at a location other than your home, you may also want to bring a dark towel to protect your car's upholstery in case of transfer.
Plan on staying dry for 6-12 hours for best results (no showering, swimming, sweating profusely, or getting caught in the rain!)
Reschedule if you are sunburnt! Peeling skin WILL affect the appearance of the tan and make it look splotchy
What do I wear during the spray tan?
Whatever you are comfortable with! Most of our clients opt to wear bikini/underwear bottoms only or nothing at all, but it is always entirely up to you how much skin you show. We do provide disposable undergarments for a small additional fee if you do not have anything to wear but would like more coverage.
What can I expect?
Our spray tan techs will come to your locations with everything needed to provide you with a high-quality, natural-looking spray tan.
After learning more about your goals and color matching you with a solution, you'll be asked to disrobe to your level of comfort and step into a spray tanning tent
A tech will apply barrier cream to any areas that are prone to discoloration or over-tanning, then begin the spray tan
Our techs will instruct you on how to stand and position your body throughout the spray tan process
Once complete, you'll be asked to assess your tan and if there are any areas that seem to need more attention
when both you and the tech are satisfied with the tan, finishing powder will be applied and you'll be air-dried to reduce any stickiness or tackiness.
Our techs will pack up their supplies, and leave the location the same way it was before arriving.
When can I take a shower?
Your initial rinse-off can occur a minimum of 6 hours post-tan.
If you can wait 12 hours, that's even better.
Use warm water only.
It may look like your tan is washing down the drain, but that's just the bronzer that gives you the instant gratification of being immediately tan!
How do I extend my tan?
Moisturize, moisturize, MOISTURIZE!!! This is the best thing you can do to increase the longevity of your tan!
Avoid exfoliating too vigorously as this can cause uneven fading
Avoid chlorinated or salt water
Both dry out the skin and can strip your tan
Avoid applying oils - they can break down the tan
Remember to use sun protection!
Spray tans only give the illusion of darker skin and do not provide protection against harmful UV radiation
